Valestiom is designed around a simple rule: your files should stay on your device.

What happens to your files?
Tools such as PDF processing, image conversion, QR creation, and text utilities run inside your browser. Valestiom does not upload, store, or inspect the files you select.
What is stored locally?
Your theme preference and a short list of recently used tool names may be saved in your browser's localStorage. This data is not sent to Valestiom and can be removed by clearing site data.
Analytics and accounts
Valestiom runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no cookies. There is no account to create, so there is nothing to sign in to and no profile of your activity to build. If any of that changes, this page will be updated before the change reaches the live site.
Third-party libraries
Some tools rely on open-source JavaScript libraries. These are served from this site rather than from a third-party CDN, and the heavier ones are fetched the first time a tool needs them, so no request reaches another company and none of them carries your file.
How to check this yourself
None of the above has to be taken on trust. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the network panel, and use any tool on this site: you will see the page, its stylesheet, and its scripts load, plus a library from this same address when a heavier tool needs one, and no request carrying the file you selected.
What local processing does not cover
Working in the browser keeps your file off our infrastructure. It does not hide your activity from your own browser, its extensions, or your operating system, and it does not govern what happens to a file once you have saved it to your disk or sent it on to someone else.
